So the countdown has started and there are just 19 sleeps left to FBI2012! I can’t believe it. As per usual I am totally snowed in under a deluge of work and tying up of loose ends, following up with sponsors and arranging for deliveries. Trying to match up html code for logos is one of my biggest headaches as I am hopeless in that department. So I am very grateful to those bearing with me at this stage. I need to begin profiling the exciting list of speakers and presenters for this years Indaba and a couple of other exciting things lined up as well…but that’s for another post.
If you haven’t yet booked now might be a good time to do so….there is a LOT to miss out on this year and ticket sales have gone incredibly well so far. There are only a limited number of spaces left. And just for added incentive…….because I can……I am going to be giving away one of the beautiful local cookbooks that have been donated and sponsored by Random House Struik again this year……all you have to do to stand a chance to win this book is to book a ticket today to attend the Indaba.
This is perfect timing for those who have been intending to book but haven’t got around to it yet! And believe me, there are some wonderful surprises coming your way if you HAVE booked….but as I mentioned before that is for another post….
There are a few more fabulous books waiting to be given away courtesy of
The Indaba is growing and growing like a toddler missioning towards teenhood and it has been so rewarding to be approached by new companies, and old faithfuls, showing a desire to become involved in the event. Their excitement has spurred me on this year, a particularly nasty year for me on a personal level, and it is very rewarding to see how it is all finally coming together.
To all those who have already booked and are waiting for confirmation and tickets, rest assured, I am working on that and you will get your tickets within the next week. I had an issue with one of the logos but that is now sorted and I am making out the new tickets as I write this. Those who already received tickets can discard them as they will be getting the revised ticket as well. I do apologize for that.
Here is the finalized Agenda/Program at last. A big thank you to Profumi D’ Italia who have stepped up and come on board as sponsors for the first time this year.
They will be presenting a Grappa and Food tasting workshop that sounds absolutely delightful….my taste buds got very excited when I read the proposed menu yesterday…..some very exciting and interesting pairings there to look forward to…
I just wish I could cut my brain out and let it sit in on the SEO workshop, leave my tastebuds and palate in the two wonderful pairings workshops, allow my eyeballs to sit and watch the styling and photography, my hands could do the cake decorating workshop and my ears could listen to the writing presentations. My feet could do the walking in between all the workshops to check up how it is all going….How happy I would be………
